steering committee 5Partnership2Gether is a program of the Jewish Agency that is dedicated to strengthening bonds between Jewish communities in Israel and the Diaspora, through direct “people to people” connections.

South Africa is partnered with the Jewish community in the town of Beit Shemesh and the surrounding rural area of Mateh Yehuda.

Once a year members of the partnership meet to discuss proposed programmes for the upcoming year and how best to achieve our goals of creating meaningful relationships in cultural, educational and social spheres.

This year the annual Partnership2Gether Steering Committee Meeting will be held in Cape Town.

The South African delegation will include Israel Centre staff from Johannesburg and Cape Town, together with Co-Chairs, volunteers and representatives from the SAZF and IUA. They will meet with their Israeli counterparts, in Cape Town to discuss feedback from 2015 and projects planned for the year ahead.

They will have the opportunity to get to know each other and meet in an informal environment, demonstrating the essence of the Partnership – people to people connections and how this is achieved through projects such as Cycalive, School Twinning, The Diller Teen Fellows, and Wonderful Women etc.
